Dangerous Traffic
Traffic is unbelievable around Northcross. Here's a note we received recently:
Since school started the traffic on Burnet Road, especially between Anderson Lane and Hwy 183, has been terribly heavy all day--not just rush hour. And that would be the primary route for new Wal-Mart traffic.
I had a new experience yesterday, was almost in an accident due to the dangerous situation at non-signalized streets. It is mind boggling that city staff employed by us the taxpayers could have concluded that a Wal-Mart supercenter would not jeopardize public safety, clog our arterials, and drive traffic into the neighborhoods when even now driving Burnet Road can be a challenge. I know I am preaching to the choir, but this is an area I drive several times daily. I am an excellent driver, however the situation is sobering. Next year my son will begin driving these same streets as he learns.
Wal-Mart and Lincoln are literally putting corporate profits ahead of lives. How sad.
