Did you see the story in today's Statesman?

We're disturbed to read in today’s Austin American-Statesman about the likely conflict of interest concerning the City of Rollingwood and Armbrust & Brown LLP.
We are especially concerned since Richard Suttle, a lawyer with Armbrust & Brown, currently serves as Wal-Mart’s legal representative regarding the proposed Northcross Mall development, which includes a 225,085 sq. ft. 24 hour Wal-Mart Supercenter.
Our understanding is that Richard Suttle frequently represents his clients before state, county, and municipal bodies. Given today's news, we call upon the City of Austin to verify whether Suttle or his firm has any conflict of interest relating to Wal-Mart and the City of Austin.
This news also prompts us to again demand that Lincoln Property Company live up to its promise to suspend activity at Northcross Mall for 60 days in order to address neighborhood concerns.
At the time of the announcement of the 60 day suspension, a council member declared publicly to "appreciate the spirit of cooperation" reflected in Lincoln's promise.
However, Lincoln has not only failed to suspend activity at Northcross, but also has made no move to date to fulfill its promise to meet with neighborhood stakeholders to address concerns.
